The stable OxygenOS 12 update for OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro encountered difficulties when it launched in early December, forcing the Chinese mobile phone manufacturer to suspend the launch until the problem is resolved. Although some fixes were released a few days later, OnePlus still left some unresolved bugs.
A few days before the Chinese New Year, OnePlus released a new stable update of OxygenOS 12 based on Android 12, which is suitable for the company’s best Android phone in 2021. The problem of accessing the 5G network in some cases.
The latest patch set follows the previous batch of fixes, which solve the problems of disconnected mobile phones, blank notification bars, and some display errors. These updates should help reduce any remaining issues with OxygenOS 12.
As usual, over-the-air updates are rolled out incrementally, with version number C.40. This means it should reach everyone in the next few days.
OnePlus also released new guidelines to help users adapt to the new changes introduced in OxygenOS 12, most of which are from ColorOS. After OnePlus merged its OxygenOS code base with ColorOS last year, OPPO’s Android skin is now the basis of OxygenOS.
Currently, the new update is only available in North America and India, but OnePlus has promised to launch it in Europe later in January.
