  • Xiaomi has launched two new Redmi Note 11 series phones in India.
  • Redmi Note 11 is powered by Snapdragon 680 chipset, 50MP main camera and 33W fast charging.
  • On the other hand, the Redmi Note 11S features a 108MP main camera and MediaTek’s Helio G96 chipset.

Last month, Xiaomi launched the global version of the Redmi Note 11 series of phones. The vanilla Redmi Note 11 and Note 11S are now available in India to challenge the cheapest Android phones.

The Redmi Note 11 is equipped with a 6.43-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 90Hz. Powering this budget phone is Qualcomm’s 6nm Snapdragon 680 chipset paired with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage.

On the back of the phone is a quad-camera system with a 50MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. There’s a 13MP camera on the front for selfies and video calls.

The Redmi Note 11 also comes with a large 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W wired charging. Xiaomi claims that the phone can be fully charged in just 60 minutes. Other notable specs include stereo speakers, a built-in IR blaster, and IP53 dust and splash resistance.

The Redmi Note 11S isn’t much different from the original Note 11, but there are some key differences. It is powered by MediaTek’s Helio G96 chipset and features a 108MP primary sensor. The Redmi Note 11S also has a more impressive 16MP selfie camera housed within a center punch-hole cutout at the top of the screen. Both phones run MIUI 13 on top of Android 11.

The Redmi Note 11S is priced at 16,499 rupees (about $220) for the 6GB/64GB version, 17,499 rupees (about $234) for the 6GB/128GB version, and 18,499 rupees (about $248) for the 8GB/128GB version. Xiaomi’s vanilla Redmi Note 11 is priced at INR 13,499 (~$180) for the 4GB/64GB version, INR 14,499 (~$194) for the 6GB/64GB version, and INR 15,999 (~$194) for the 6GB/128GB version ( approximately $214). While the Redmi Note 11 will go on sale from February 11, the Redmi Note 11S will go on sale in the country from February 16.
