Here’s how to stop spam in Google Drive on your phone or on the web

Ah, spam. Not only is it a problematic source of protein, it has also been the bane of our online presence for the past 20 years or so. Remember how annoying it was (and still is) to receive random, unsolicited junk in your emails? Of course, spam has not disappeared, but the filters and interceptors that have been improved over the years have definitely negated its ability to block our inboxes. Unfortunately, the annoying and unwanted content found a new attack vector: the online documents we shared!

Yes, people are now flooding their online storage platforms with spam, some of which are just annoying things, but some can even be very abusive. If you find that your Google Drive is bombarded by spam, don’t worry, you have many options. We will show you how to block spam in Google Drive so that your online storage is free of spam.

How to stop spam in Google Drive From the network

  1. From your web browser, open drive.google.com.
  2. right click On the file to be blocked.
  3. From the menu, click Blockage (You will see the sender’s email address).

  4. Click on Blockage From the pop-up window.

  1. Open Google Drive app On your phone.
  2. Click live The file to be blocked.
  3. From the menu, click Blockage (You will see the sender’s email address).

  4. Tap Blockage In the pop-up window.

It’s important to note that if you are a Google Workspace user with a business or education account, you cannot prevent others from accessing your own domain (So don’t stop your boss’s performance appraisal). However, if you accidentally blocked someone you didn’t intend to block, or if you changed your mind after blocking someone, it is relatively easy to unblock them again.

Thankfully, you can block and unblock any user on the web and Android phones. As long as you have internet on your phone, you can quickly and easily filter out spam anytime, anywhere.

  1. Click on your Profile icon/avatar.

  2. Click on Manage your Google account.
  3. Click on People and sharing.

  4. Click on Blocked.

  5. Find the user you want to unblock and click Delete X.

  1. Open Google Drive app On your phone.
  2. Tap Your avatar In the upper right corner.
  3. choose Manage your Google account.

  4. Swipe from left Family Tab arrival People and sharing Label.
  5. Tap Blocked.
  6. Find the user you want to unblock and click X mark.

Consider your options

Although we like Google Drive and Google One as storage solutions, they are far from the only good choices. Microsoft OneDrive, Box, and Dropbox are just some of the other great cloud storage services you might want to check out. After all, everyone’s storage needs are different.
