Amazon recently partnered with Zoom to bring the Zoom app to Amazon Fire TV. While this feature is technically only available on Fire TV Cube (2nd generation) and Amazon Fire TV Omni series TVs, there is a way to answer Zoom calls with other Amazon Fire TV devices. With that in mind, we’ve put together this explainer for using Zoom on Amazon Fire TV, no matter what device you’re using.
How to use Zoom on Amazon Fire TV
If you’re using a Fire TV Cube or an Amazon Fire TV Omni series TV, you’ll need to follow these steps to use Zoom on Amazon Fire TV.
- exist Amazon Fire TV Home, scroll to Look for Label.
- under Look for, choose search Tabs and Types soaring application.
- search soaring application.
- click soaring Apply and select download.
- After downloading the app, it should appear in your Amazon Fire TV Home.
After downloading the Zoom app, simply plug your webcam into the USB port of your Fire TV Cube or Omni Series TV. If you’re not sure which webcam to use, Amazon recommends the Logitech C920, C922x, or C310. From there, you can also use the built-in Alexa in Omni to say “Alexa, find Zoom” and “Alexa, join my Zoom meeting.”
After opening the Zoom app, you will be asked to join the meeting by providing your meeting ID and password. While a Zoom account is not required to join a meeting, you will need one if you plan to host a meeting in the future. It’s also worth pointing out that the Zoom app also offers paid and free options.

Need an affordable but good quality webcam? Logitech is one of the brands to beat, but if you’re looking for one to go with the Amazon Fire TV Omni series of TVs, the Logitech C920s is a great 1080p webcam that delivers crisp video with HD autofocus and light correction .
Zoom in on other Amazon Fire TV devices
While the Zoom Smart TV app is currently only compatible with the Amazon Fire TV Cube (2nd gen) and Amazon Fire TV Omni series TVs (which are some of the best Amazon Fire TV built-in TVs), there is a workaround for downloading Zoom on other Amazon on Fire TV devices. You’ll need to first download the Downloader app from the Amazon Fire TV app store, then follow these steps:
- On your home page, select set up icon at the far right of the screen.
-
Under Settings, select my fire tv or Equipment and Software.
- click Developer options.
-
scroll down and select Install unknown apps.
-
choose Downloader and turn it exist.
The device should now be set up to install any third-party apps, including the Zoom app. Now you just need to download Zoom. That’s it:
- On your home page, select and open Downloader app.
-
On the left, navigate to and select browser options.
- click URL field.
-
Erase existing URL, enter soaring, then click go with.
- On the next screen, scroll down and select Download Center – Zoom options.
-
From there, select Download from Zoom.
- After the download is complete, select Install.
-
Once the Zoom app is fully installed, click delete Delete the APK file from the Zoom app.
- When prompted, click delete Confirm deletion a second time.
After completing the steps above, you should be able to access the Zoom app under the Apps tab on the Amazon Fire TV home page and use Zoom on your Amazon Fire TV. After opening the application, you will be asked to join the meeting by providing your meeting ID and password.
While you don’t need a webcam to join a Zoom meeting or webinar, you won’t be able to stream your own video when using the Zoom app on devices other than the Fire TV Cube (2nd gen) and Amazon Fire TV Omni series television. However, you can still listen and speak, share your screen, and view other participants’ webcam video during the meeting.
