Before the end of 2021, Google added a new application launcher to the Nest Hub Max, which surprised everyone. Soon after adding this feature to a larger smart display, Google brought the application launcher to the second-generation Nest Hub. With this new application launcher, you can now launch specific applications such as Spotify, Pandora, and YouTube. However, there are also some applications that can be used to play games and send broadcasts from your Nest Hub.
How to enable the app launcher on Nest Hub
Before you start, it’s important to note that this feature may not yet be available to all Nest Hub users. For example, although our first-generation Nest Hub and second-generation Hub run the same firmware version, only the second-generation Nest Hub has a new application launcher. However, if you want to try the new app launcher on Nest Hub, you can follow the steps below.
- Tap Your Nest Hub wakes it up.
- Swipe up The menu is displayed from the bottom.
- Tap This See all The application next to the button.
- Tap Open one of its apps on Nest Hub.
Technically, these are just different operations within Google’s reach. This makes it easy to launch one of the available options without using your voice, which will come in handy if someone other than you is using the Nest Hub, or if you just don’t want the Google Assistant to launch the app.
