  • A new leak claims to show renders of Motorola’s upcoming flagship phone, codenamed “Frontier.”
  • The device appears to have a large camera sensor with Samsung’s 200MP Isocell HP1 sensor.
  • It’s also likely to have a very different design from Motorola’s previous smartphones.

Late last month, leaks of renders and key specs pointing to Motorola’s future Android flagship phones gave us an early look at the company’s next challenger to the best Android phone. Now, a new leak has revealed more details about the upcoming high-res render device.

polite Evan Blass, we can now get a better look at the rumored Motorola device codenamed “Frontier,” especially its large camera sensor on the back. Leaks suggest that the rear shooter will feature a 194MP 1/1.5-inch sensor with OIS capability. It is rumored to be the same ISOCELL HP1 camera sensor made by Samsung.

Two additional sensors are located directly below the main sensor. While the latest leak doesn’t reveal much about these other sensors, previous rumors said the Frontier will include a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens from Sony and a 12MP telephoto sensor.

In addition to these details, the leaked renders show the phone from every angle. Based on these images, Motorola’s next flagship device appears to feature an all-new design that’s a far cry from any phone before it. Curves abound on the back and on the display, and we can see a 6.67-inch FullHD+ OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate.

Previous rumors also claimed that the phone will be powered by a future variant of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. Its battery will reportedly support 125W wired charging and 50W wireless charging, much faster than the Samsung Galaxy S22+.

The latest leaks strongly suggest that Motorola may be shifting its focus to flagship phones. Besides the Motorola Frontier, another device called the Edge 30 Pro may also be in the works, possibly powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC.
