OnePlus 10 Pro video leak leaks the phone’s exact release date

by GizmoShot | Published On December 31, 2021

There is almost no room for imagination in the latest leak.

What you need to know

  • The teaser video of the upcoming OnePlus 10 Pro has appeared online.
  • The video reveals the exact date when OnePlus will release its next flagship device.
  • Although the front design is roughly similar, the rear panel is significantly different from its predecessor.

If there are any signs of a new teaser video, the OnePlus 10 series may be launched earlier this year than its predecessors. The video also reveals the final design of this phone, which is consistent with previous leaks.

According to a leaked video posted on Weibo (via 9to5Google), OnePlus 10 Pro will be unveiled on January 11. OnePlus founder Pete Lau previously confirmed that the upcoming flagship phone will be released in January, but the specific date was not disclosed. Strangely, there is no mention of the standard OnePlus 10 model.

In addition to the release date, the trailer also confirmed the previously leaked mobile phone renderings. Unlike the rectangular vertical camera bump of the OnePlus 9 series, the upcoming camera seems to have a square camera island that can accommodate three lenses, which may be inspired by the design of the Samsung Galaxy S21 series in some way.

If you can believe the recent rumors, the rear camera will include a 48MP main sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens and an 8MP telephoto lens with 3.3x zoom. The Hasselblad brand can also be seen on the camera island, which is not surprising given the partnership between OnePlus and the Swedish camera manufacturer.

The front is also equipped with a 6.7-inch QHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a punch-hole cutout for the 32MP selfie camera. As Liu previously confirmed, OnePlus 10 Pro will also be equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, making it a strong challenger for the best Android phone next year.

There are rumors that the device will be available in black, white and light blue, but the latest trailer also shows a green option.

Currently, the price and regional availability of this phone are still unknown. However, given that semiconductor shortages still affect the smartphone market, certain models may eventually become difficult to obtain in certain regions, such as the OnePlus 9 Pro model in the United States.
