OnePlus 9RT, which debuted in China last October, will soon enter the Indian market. OnePlus India confirmed in a new post on its community forum that this premium flagship product will debut in the country along with the OnePlus Buds Z2 earbuds at the “Winter Edition” launch event on January 14.
OnePlus 9RT is the successor to OnePlus 9R launched together with the other two 9 series phones. Although it is not a massive upgrade to its predecessor, this phone does offer better performance and is equipped with an improved three-camera setup on the back.
Unlike the OnePlus 9R equipped with the Snapdragon 870 chipset, the OnePlus 9RT is equipped with the same Snapdragon 888 as the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro phones. It also has the same 50MP Sony IMX766 main sensor as the OnePlus Nord 2. Other key highlights of OnePlus 9RT include a 6.62-inch display with a refresh rate of 120Hz, a 16MP selfie camera, and a 4,500mAh battery with 65W fast charging.
However, it is not clear whether OnePlus 9RT will also be launched in other markets such as Europe. OnePlus 9R is still unique to China and India.
The value-focused OnePlus Buds Z2 wireless earbuds were launched in the United States last month. Although they are not as impressive as OnePlus’ best wireless earbuds, they do offer active noise reduction and promise to provide up to 38 hours of battery life.
